Two Suki Yaki Cooking Classes Offered in September
    Japanese Cooking instructor, Mrs. Haru Nikaido, will be teaching a Suki Yaki class two Friday evenings in September at the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street, at 6:30 p.m. on September 12 and 19. To join either class, make a reservation by calling the Senior Center, 661-259-9444, or Mrs. Nikaido, at 661-244-7666.
    Suki Yaki is a tasty stewlike dish of sirloin steak, tofu, dry and green onions, Chinese cabbage, glass noodles and seasonings.
    The class is $10 and the class members will dine together on Suki Yaki and brown rice. Class is open to adults 18 and over.
