Free Consumer Lectures and Clinics Offered in August
On Wednesday, August 5, Financial advisor Joseph Santos discusses "Obama-nomics & the Current Economy" from 1 to 2 p.m. in Activity Rooms 1 & 2 of the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street.
Other Consumer Lectures for August at the SCV Senior Center will be: Wednesday, August 12: Dr. Ronald Schwartz , Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital internist will discuss "Constipation." Wednesday, August 19: Candy Watson of Wells Fargo Mortgage will present information on "Reverse Mortgages." Wells Fargo is the No.1 lender in reverse mortgages. Wednesday, August 26: Dr. Amy Goff from HealthCare Partners Medical Group will hold a "Doctor's Open Forum" where consumers are encouraged to bring their medical questions for the physician. All lectures are from 1 to 2 p.m. in Activity Rooms 1 & 2 of the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street.
In addition, the following free health clinics will be offered at the SCV Senior Center: Tuesday, August 18: Hearing Clinic by Audiology Associates, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Respite Office. Every Wednesday: Free blood pressure checks performed by nurses, noon to 1p.m. in Activity Room 3. Note: there will be no glucose checks or foot screenings in August — enjoy the summer — stay cool and hydrated!
